"There are no wrong roads...
if you end up somewhere you needed to be..."
I think that could really sum up my life - for I have always been something of a gypsy, and someone who followed the road less travelled. Sometimes it didn't work out so well (at the time!) but with grace I have ended up in a place of joy and blessing, after a few twists and turns, losses and heartaches.
I have been given the privilege of travelling and living in several different places, and also working as an artist, writer, designer, cook and now herbalist (sometimes, but not always, at the same time!) For now I am happily settled in a little wooden cabin set among sheltering trees, with the ocean I love so much just out of sight over the hill.
At the moment I am particularly interested in following my green magic path... learning and sharing all I can about the earth's gifts and how they can heal both body and soul. This will be a major part of this blog - along with my artwork, and other little creations that I would love to share with you all.
Mostly, though, I follow my heart - as and where it leads me. (Hence the title of this blog). I know that the heart is our true compass and it will not lead us away from the light. I read once that the Yurok Indians have only one rule and law for life: be true to yourself. That is what I try to do, and be, now - and, hopefully the ideas and words I share here will help us all stop for a moment to reconnect with the heart...and make it the true centre of what we do and who we are.
Blessings and light
